The exact services, deliverables, price and timescale for a project will normally be set out in a quotation, proposal, invoice or other written agreement.
You may use the Tamed Web website for lawful purposes and to obtain information about Tamed Web and its services.
You must not:
Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purposes.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, hosting environment or related systems.
Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code.
Attempt to interfere with the operation, availability or security of the website.
Use automated systems to excessively access, scrape or interfere with the website.
Copy or commercially exploit website content without permission where that content is protected by intellectual property rights.
Tamed Web may restrict or block access where there are reasonable grounds to believe the website is being misused.

Before starting chargeable project work, Tamed Web will normally confirm the agreed service, scope, price and relevant deliverables in writing.
A quotation only covers the work specifically included within that quotation.
Unless specifically included, additional pages, functionality, integrations, extensive revisions, additional content, specialist development or other work outside the agreed scope may incur an additional charge.
No surprise charges will be added to agreed work. If you request additional chargeable work, Tamed Web will explain the additional cost and obtain your approval before proceeding.
Once a fixed-price quotation and scope have been agreed, the price for that agreed work will not change unless you change the scope, request additional work or another variation is agreed.
You are responsible for providing information and materials reasonably required for Tamed Web to complete your project.

Images and branding

Domain or hosting access
Feedback
Approvals

Information required for SEO or content work
You should provide accurate information and respond to reasonable requests within an appropriate period.
You are responsible for ensuring that materials you provide to Tamed Web can lawfully be used for the intended purpose.
You should not supply copyrighted images, text, logos, software or other materials unless you own the necessary rights or have permission to use them.
Project timescales provided by Tamed Web are estimates unless a completion date has specifically been guaranteed in writing.
Delays in providing content, access details, feedback, approvals or other required information may delay completion.
If a project becomes inactive for an extended period because required information, feedback or approval has not been supplied, Tamed Web may reschedule the remaining work around other booked projects.
A delayed project may therefore not restart immediately when the outstanding information is eventually supplied.
Tamed Web may require a deposit, upfront payment or first monthly payment before work begins.
The required amount will be shown in the relevant quotation or invoice.
Invoices must be paid by the payment date shown on the invoice.
Deposits are normally non-refundable once Tamed Web has started work on the project, subject to any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply.
Where a project requires staged payments, the payment schedule will be confirmed in the quotation, proposal or invoice.
The final balance for a website project will normally be payable at the agreed stage or before the completed website goes live, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If an invoice becomes overdue, Tamed Web may pause work or suspend ongoing services until the outstanding amount has been paid.
This may include pausing:
Website development
Design work
SEO
Content work
Website maintenance
Website updates
Hosting
Other ongoing services
Where suspension of hosting or another service may affect a live website, Tamed Web will act reasonably in the circumstances.
Suspending a service because of an overdue payment does not remove your responsibility to pay outstanding amounts that are properly due.
Any statutory rights or remedies relating to late commercial payments may also apply where appropriate.
The agreed website specification, pages, functionality and deliverables will be confirmed before development begins.
Tamed Web will provide reasonable opportunities for you to review the website and request changes during the agreed revision process.
Minor amendments to wording, images, colours, layouts and other agreed elements may be included during the revision stage.
Substantial changes to the original brief, additional pages, new functionality, a significant change in design direction or repeated redesign requests may be treated as additional work.
Any additional charge will be explained and agreed before that work begins.
Once all agreed website design and development fees have been paid in full, the website created specifically for your business will belong to you, subject to the third-party rights and licences described below.
This does not transfer ownership of WordPress, third-party themes, plugins, software, fonts, stock images, frameworks, services or other third-party materials.
Those items remain subject to their respective ownership and licence terms.
Where Tamed Web provides premium software under a Tamed Web licence, you may need to purchase your own licence if you move your website away from Tamed Web.
If you already own your domain name, you remain its owner.
Tamed Web may assist with connecting your domain, changing DNS records or nameservers and configuring the domain for your website where this forms part of the agreed service.
Where Tamed Web purchases or manages a domain on your behalf, ownership, renewal and management arrangements will be agreed with you.
Domain registration and renewal fees are separate from standard web design services unless specifically included.
You are responsible for ensuring that your chosen domain name does not infringe another party’s rights.
Websites may rely on third-party products and services including:
WordPress
Themes
Plugins
Hosting technology
Email services
Payment providers
Booking systems
Analytics services
Fonts
APIs
Stock images
External platforms
These products and services may have their own terms, privacy policies, licences, charges and technical limitations.
Tamed Web does not control third-party providers and cannot guarantee that a third-party product or service will remain available, unchanged or compatible indefinitely.
Additional work required because of significant changes to a third-party product or service may be chargeable where that work falls outside your existing service agreement.
Where Tamed Web sources stock images, those images will remain subject to the licence provided by the relevant stock image provider.
Purchasing or supplying a stock image licence does not normally give you exclusive ownership of the image.
You must comply with any licence restrictions that apply to the image.
Tamed Web does not claim that an image is free from copyright restrictions unless the applicable rights and licence have been verified.
Logo design packages include the concepts, revisions and files specified in your quotation or selected package.
Additional concepts, revisions or substantial changes outside the agreed scope may incur an additional charge.
You are responsible for checking whether your chosen business name, logo or other branding can legally be used and whether trademark protection is available or required.
Unless specifically agreed, Tamed Web does not provide trademark searches, trademark registration or legal clearance.
SEO involves improving factors that may influence how a website appears in search engines.
Tamed Web cannot control Google or another search engine.
Tamed Web therefore does not guarantee:
Page-one rankings
Number-one rankings
Specific ranking increases
Specific levels of website traffic
A particular number of leads or enquiries
Sales or revenue
How long a particular ranking will remain in place
Search performance can be affected by competition, location, website authority, content, backlinks, search engine changes and other factors outside Tamed Web’s control.
SEO should normally be considered a longer-term process rather than a guarantee of a particular commercial outcome.
Where Tamed Web provides content writing, the scope, length, research requirements and number of revisions will be based on the agreed package or quotation.
You are responsible for reviewing business-specific information supplied within the content and confirming that details relating to your business, services, prices, qualifications, accreditations and claims are accurate before publication.
Specialist subjects requiring extensive research, professional review or additional fact-checking may incur additional charges where agreed in advance.
Tamed Web does not provide legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice through its standard content writing service unless specifically agreed and appropriately qualified professional input has been arranged.
Where you purchase Website Hosting & Maintenance from Tamed Web, the exact services included will depend on your selected package.
Services may include hosting, SSL, backups, WordPress updates, plugin and theme updates, monitoring, malware checks, performance maintenance and an agreed allowance for minor website changes.
Hosting and maintenance reduces the risks associated with running a website but cannot eliminate every technical, security or availability risk.
Tamed Web does not guarantee 100% uptime or that a website can never experience downtime, security problems, software conflicts, data loss or other technical issues.
You may cancel your Tamed Web Hosting & Maintenance service by providing at least 30 days’ notice.
All outstanding invoices must be paid before the account is closed or website transfer files are released.
Where appropriate, Tamed Web can provide the WordPress website files and database required to move the website to another suitable hosting provider.
You are responsible for arranging replacement hosting and completing or arranging the migration unless Tamed Web has separately agreed to provide migration assistance.
Premium themes, plugins, software or services provided under a Tamed Web licence may stop receiving updates or may require you to purchase your own licence after leaving Tamed Web.
Tamed Web recommends arranging replacement hosting before cancellation takes effect to reduce the risk of website or email downtime.
Website design, logo design, content writing and other project work may be created specifically for you.
If you cancel after work has started, you may be required to pay for work already completed and costs already incurred.
Deposits are normally non-refundable after work has started, subject to applicable statutory rights.
Third-party costs incurred specifically for your project, such as domain registrations, premium software or stock-image licences, may also be non-refundable once purchased, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Any remaining payment due following cancellation will depend on the work completed, costs incurred and the terms agreed for your project.
Tamed Web does not provide a blanket money-back guarantee for bespoke web design, logo design, SEO, content writing or related services.
Where there is a genuine problem with work supplied, you should contact Tamed Web so there is a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, correct the issue.
Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Where backups form part of a Hosting & Maintenance package, Tamed Web will take reasonable steps to maintain backups according to the applicable service.
No backup system can guarantee against every possible failure or loss.
You should retain copies of important business information, content, documents and other materials independently where appropriate.
Unless otherwise stated, the text, graphics, branding, layout and original content on the Tamed Web website belong to Tamed Web or are used under an appropriate licence.
You may view and use the website for normal personal or business information purposes.
You must not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute or commercially exploit substantial parts of the website without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
Tamed Web and its branding must not be used in a way that falsely suggests an endorsement, partnership or association.
Unless confidentiality has been agreed, Tamed Web may refer to completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials.
This may include displaying screenshots, identifying the type of work completed and linking to a publicly available website.
Confidential information, login credentials and private business information will not be intentionally published as part of portfolio use.
If specific confidentiality arrangements are required, these should be agreed in writing.

Tamed Web does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices or services.
Following an external link is at your own discretion.
Tamed Web takes reasonable steps to operate and maintain its website.
Continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues, security incidents or circumstances outside Tamed Web’s reasonable control.

Examples may include widespread internet or hosting failures, third-party service outages, cyber incidents affecting external providers, natural disasters, government action or other events that reasonably prevent the service from being provided.
Where such an event occurs, Tamed Web will take reasonable steps to resume affected services when practical.
Personal information collected through the Tamed Web website or during the provision of services will be handled in accordance with the applicable Tamed Web Privacy Policy.
